Dallas Zoo Lights, presented by Reliant, returns as a socially distanced drive-thru experience this holiday season. Cruise the mile-long route through the Dallas Zoo and enjoy many magical holiday moments along the way. Featuring one million twinkling lights, elaborate holiday-themed displays, dazzling 3-D lighted sculptures, larger-than-life animal lanterns, and more, all from the comfort of your vehicle.

Guests will drive along a pathway that winds through both familiar areas of the Zoo, like Primate Place and the Flamingo Pond, as well as Pride Rock, which is not regularly open to the public, and enjoy mesmerizing animal-themed vignettes, ranging from a lush tropical rainforest to an Antarctic adventure.

Between vignettes, guests will be immersed in stunning, 360-degree light-covered tunnels, hanging lighted décor, fully wrapped trees, and silk-covered, illuminated animal lanterns.

Open on select nights November 19 through January 2 from 6–9:30pm. Closed on Nov. 29–30 and Dec. 6–7 and Dec. 24–25. Tickets go on sale on Oct. 18, but Dallas Zoo members get access to an exclusive pre-sale, starting Oct. 15.

New this year: An 3D projection mapping will transform select areas along the path, and the route ends with a bigger, brighter Reliant Holiday Village, where you can exit your vehicles to meet Santa and enjoy photo ops in front of the 30-foot lighted Christmas tree. Guests are invited to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate, snack on holiday treats, and enjoy musical performances on select nights.

Guests can also pre-order a gift bag full of holiday goodies to share—including hot chocolate in festive souvenir cups, popcorn, and other holiday sweets—that will be delivered to their car window as they wait to enter.

How to attend:
-Dallas Zoo Lights is designed to let guests drive through parts of the Zoo to see holiday lights AFTER most of our animals have gone to bed for the night.
-You must purchase Dallas Zoo Lights tickets online in advance of your visit. Tickets will not be sold at the gate. While times may vary, the estimated time to drive through the Dallas Zoo Lights experience is 30-45 minutes. Of note, there may be a wait to enter the experience during peak hours and on popular nights.
-The Dallas Zoo closes at 4pm for daytime entry, and reopens with the new drive-thru event at 6pm. Separate, timed-entry tickets that must be purchased in advance of your visit.
-Pre-order set package of food & drinks, or purchase individual items on-site in select areas. Look online for details as they are available.
-Tune your car’s radio to the zoo’s station, 1680 AM to fill your car with holiday tunes and greetings.
