Additional Information

Dallas Arboretum welcomes the public to celebrate Father's Day and Juneteenth in its beautiful garden. Fathers, grandfathers, adopted fathers and soon-to-be fathers will enjoy celebrating with loved ones at the Dallas Arboretum. The garden also honors and pays tribute to Juneteenth, which was declared a federal holiday in 2021. According to U.S. News & World Report, the Dallas Arboretum is one of the “21 Top Things to Do in Texas.”

Events for these holidays include live music and Summer at the Arboretum murals by local artists Alli Koch, MOM, Will Heron and Favio Moreno, who have created Birds in Paradise-inspired works.

A new exhibition, Faces of Dallas and The Village, will be displayed in the DeGolyer House through the riveting work of documentarian and photographer Don Tortellini. He combines immersive photography with raw storytelling to create a fine art experience through his alluring photographs. There is an opening reception to meet the artist on Sunday, June 19, 1–3pm at the DeGolyer House.

Back by popular demand from Dallas Blooms, the garden features the massive pair of 13-foot-tall floral peacocks featuring ornately planted tails measuring more than 36 feet across.

June 18–20 is also Kelley Family Days giving everyone complimentary entrance to the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden with paid admission. A special thanks to the Kelley family for underwriting the cost.

Advanced timed tickets are required for entry to the Arboretum by calling 214/515-6615 or visiting dallasarboretum.org.
