Cowtown Goes Green is the city’s largest and most family-friendly St. Patrick’s Day celebration at the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District. This annual event serves as a community-wide celebration of Irish culture with a western twist.
Featuring armadillo races, lawn games, pony rides, old west gunfight shows, cloggers and dance troops, and at 1:30pm, a Cowtown Kids matinee rodeo.
In addition, the event continues the tradition of hosting an authentic western parade at 4pm—its famous twice-daily cattle drive—along historic Exchange Avenue. Make sure to come dressed up in green, and don't miss all the rodeo action inside Cowtown Coliseum.
Live music on Livestock Exchange Lawn:
10–11:30am: Buttermilk Junction
Noon and 1pm: McTeggart Irish Dancers
2–4pm: Cowtown Ramblers
4:30–7:30pm: Brand Russell Band
