Enjoy activities exploring native plants from Hispanic countries across the world, discover the contributions of Hispanic and Latino scientists and learn more about the climates of the diverse countries across the world as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

Since the Rory Meyers Children's Adventure Garden has reopened its Butterfly Gates, there are a few important temporary guidelines to note:
-At this time, only guests ages 5 and up are admitted into the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden. This is only a temporary measure and will assist with the concern of younger children who are unable to wear face coverings or do not have the ability to yet control touching their faces.
-All guests must wear face coverings
-All children will be provided and required to wear non-latex gloves while in the Children's Adventure Garden
-100 guests allowed per hour, including members & non-members
-A one-way path has been marked through the garden to aid in social distancing
-Some galleries featuring high-touch exhibits or close spaces may be closed or modified

Also celebrate National Taco Day on Sunday, October 4 from 11am–3pm, featuring specialty food for sale, festive live music and a beer taste test.

A Tasteful Place features a variety of specialty tacos for sale ranging from street to gourmet from favorite local spots as well as fresh salsa, tortillas and paletas, while festive live music plays.

Vendors in the garden include Tacos el Guato, Art & Tacos, Plain Ole Salsa, Custom Cafe Foods, Empanada Cookhouse, Spicy Caballero, Austin East Ciders and Beyond Meat.
