Additional Information

The impact of COVID-19 is one that has been felt deeply across the world. In this time where uniting together is more important than ever, but keeping our distance is crucial, celebrations and gatherings must look different.

Celebrate Coppell has always been a celebration of people, events, and traditions; encouraging the citizens of Coppell to celebrate our nation’s independence. With the knowledge that families across Coppell are still eager to celebrate the holiday, the City has reimagined the traditional celebration and created a way for residents to safely celebrate as a community.

The City is asking residents and businesses in the community to celebrate by decorating their front porches or business windows. The theme, of course, is Independence Day! The purpose of decorating is to unleash your creativity and bring a smile to your friends and neighbors by showing us your patriotic best.

Don’t have a porch? Feel free to decorate your lawn, driveway, windows, business windows, etc. As long as it can be seen from the sidewalk and street, you are good!

Participants who register their home or place of business will be added to an online map of patriotic spaces to be released to the public on Saturday, June 20. The community is encouraged to walk around their neighborhoods or drive around town to view the patriotic displays from June 21 through July 5.

Visit celebratecoppell.com for more details on how to register. The first 100 yards or businesses that register will receive an event lawn sign placed by City of Coppell staff, so there's no need to touch it or interact with anyone.

Check the Red, White & Views Map online to see all the locations to explore. Go for a walk around your neighborhood, drive through other neighborhoods and visit businesses on the map. Take pictures of the spaces you find and tag the city on social to help share the joy.
