Description
On Memorial Day Monday, May 29, Camp Sweeney hosts its 11th annual Play for the Day 5K & Festival in Dallas at Lake Highlands North Park. Camp Sweeney is a nonprofit dedicated to assisting diabetic children and their siblings learn to lead a normal and active life.
8am: race check-in
9am: 5K start
10:30am family fun fun
9am–noon festival, including a live band and dancing, Memorial Day celebrations, and Kid Zone ride and games.
Children in strollers and dogs on a leash are welcome to participate in the races
5K timed race – $40 – Certified course is timed with age/gender/overall placing recognition
Family Fun Run – $30 – Fun for everyone
Virtual Participation – $30 – Cannot attend but still want to participate, you can create a team, raise money to help a lot of great kids all from the comfort of home
