Travel back in time to the 14th century when University Christian Church of Fort Worth celebrates its 43rd year of presenting The Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival. It is a magnificent story of Christmas like never seen before—you will feel the floor shake and your excitement rise as the Beefeaters make their way into the Sanctuary.

The stunning Renaissance inspired costumes will take you back in time. The masterfully composed music performed by the members of the UCC Chancel Choir, Youth Bell Choirs and Fort Worth Civic Orchestra brings this enchanting festival to life for an unforgettable experience.

This celebration of good over evil began as a holiday tradition in the grand manor houses of England and was brought to America during Colonial days. There's never a dull moment in this fast-moving production made possible by the commitment of over 300 cast members, musicians and technical crew. There are companies of lords and ladies, sprites and dancers who all come to worship and guide us to the newly born Christ Child in a live manger scene.

A holiday must see for the whole family! Festival times are 3pm and 5pm on both Saturday, January 5 and Sunday, January 6. Performances are free and open to all as a gift to the community from University Christian Church. Limited patron tickets are available for $15 online at

Historically, the Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival is attended by 3,000 patrons over the two days of performances. The music was specially arranged by noted Texas composer Randol Alan Bass. Bass’s arrangements have been performed by prestigious ensembles including: the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops Orchestra and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Mr. Bass originally composed the Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival music in 1977 and further refined it in 2013.

For the second year in a row, following the 5pm performance of the Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival on Saturday, January 5, UCC presents Boar’s Head Feast, a yuletide banquet of fine food, good cheer and hearty merriment. Costumed actors and seasonal music will be performed live throughout the madrigal dinner. Advanced ticket purchase is required to attend.

Advance tickets are required. Pricing is determined by your desired proximity to the actors; the show and food per each price point is identical: $50, $40, $25 and $12 for children in grades 5 and under.
