What in the world, you may ask, is a BioBlitz? It’s an amazing opportunity for naturalists of all kinds, from casual wildlife watchers to list-keeping birders, and kids of all ages, to participate in citizen science. A BioBlitz is an event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species of living things as possible in a given area, over just few days. LLELA’s BioBlitz includes presentations and guided hikes led by experts on all sorts of topics: butterflies, reptiles and amphibians, wildflowers, birds and dragonflies.
