About Communities In Schools of Greater Tarrant County
The mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve life. The daily struggles of students in our area are often masked; schools see symptoms of these issues, but the root causes are often hidden from view.

Communities In Schools and its social workers develop trusting relationships with students and families and go behind the scenes of a child’s life to unmask the barriers to success, meet their needs and keep them on track to graduation—so they can become self-sufficient, contributing members of the community. For more information on Communities In School’s impact, visit cistarrant.org.
