Description
Come on Barbie, let’s go party at The Whippersnapper! Once again set to captivate Dallas enthusiasts - The Whippersnapper is bringing the iconic doll to life. With its signature Whippersnapper flair, guests will be immersed in a fantastic BAR-bie experience, coinciding with the launch of the latest big-screen adaptation. The bar will undergo a marvelous transformation into a real-life rendition of the iconic DreamHouse, inviting all ‘Barbs’ and Kens to indulge in the ultimate "Bar-bie" extravaganza.
Dallasites will have the opportunity to experience the immersive pop-up featuring themed food and drinks, live music, and decor that celebrate the iconic doll's legacy. To create an authentic atmosphere, even the staff members will be participating in the fun by donning themed looks from different eras of Barbie's history.
The Whippersnapper will temporarily close its doors on Sunday, August 6, and remain closed until the pop-up opens on Thursday, August 10 to prepare for the Barbie makeover.
The outside of the venue will be designed to resemble a life-sized Dream House, capturing the essence of the iconic doll's home. Inside, guests can expect to find an array of decorations and on-theme Corvette bed, a digital photobooth, an accessory wall and more.
In addition to the captivating decor, The Whippersnapper's bar has dreamed up a pop-up exclusive menu of food and drinks with items such as Barbie’s Burger, Teresa’s Tenders and the California Club, as well as custom cocktails such “Life in Plastic” and “He’s just Ken.”
The pop-up will be ages 21+ and free to the public. However, guests looking to avoid the lines are able to reserve booths by contacting info@thewhipdallas.com.
Amidst all the glitz and glamour of the Bar-bie experience, there will be a charitable aspect to this pop-up event. Bar-bie will be gathering Barbie dolls and accessories throughout the entire duration and, upon conclusion, will generously donate everything to Children's charity.
After seeing great success from previous pop-ups such as “Austin Powers,” “Game of Thrones” and “Friends,” the brains behind The Whippersnapper, Dallas-based This and That Hospitality, strive to create remarkable experiences for its patrons while connecting to pop-culture moments.
