Description
Ballet Concerto presents its 43rd Summer Dance Concert, with nightly performances on four consecutive nights. The concert will be presented on an outdoor stage at The Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth. The performance site is situated amid wonderful restaurants that are available for pre-ordered take-out picnic dinners.
Spanish dance master Luis Montero will return to restage his acclaimed Bolero, which was choreographed on Ballet Concerto for the 1990 Summer Dance Concert and has been performed frequently since that time by Ballet Concerto, as well as other ballet and Spanish dance companies both nationally and internationally. After 37 years of coming to Fort Worth to create and re-stage his choreography, this year will be Luis’ farewell performance before his retirement.
Also being performed at this year’s Summer Dance Concert: a stunning contemporary piece by resident choreographer Elise Lavallee, and Jazz Swing will be staged by our artistic Director, Webster Dean, with choreography by the late Fernando Bujones.
