Description
A family-friendly book launch party designed for moms who want a little magic for their kids—and a little breathing room for themselves.
On Saturday, December 13 from 11am–12:30pm at 1846 Coffee (Dallas), author and entrepreneur Lauren Sanchez is celebrating the release of her new book, This Wasn’t the Plan: What Motherhood Taught Me About Work, Worth, and Wanting More, with a first-of-its-kind community event built for working moms across DFW.
Kids will step into their own “creative corner,” decorating bookmarks and custom coloring pages inspired by themes and poems from the book—including what it means to grow, change, and face moments when life takes an unexpected turn. It’s the perfect opening to talk with your kid about what happens when things don’t go according to plan—and how sometimes, those surprises lead to something better.
While kids create, moms can choose their own pace:
• Explore interactive “Real Talk” boards with prompts such as “What’s one tiny win you had this week as a parent or human?” and “What’s one thing you wish people understood about working motherhood today?”
• Browse and buy a limited-edition hardcover (only 75 available), signed on the spot by the author.
• Or simply sip a hot coffee in peace—while it’s still hot.
Every book purchase includes a spin on the prize wheel and a special discount at 1846 Coffee.
Free to attend. Full of bookish surprises. Designed for moms, loved by kids. Join this warm, relaxed morning of connection, creativity, and story-sharing—an event where everyone leaves with something meaningful.
