Description
Bring your friends and family to the Downtown/University District to enjoy Arlington's annual Holiday Lights Parade on Saturday, December 14. (Parade will continue as planned rain, snow or shine, except in case of ice.)
2024 Schedule:
The celebrations start at 2pm at the George W. Hawkes Public Library with inside Reindeer Games. Before the parade, bring your camera and take a picture with Santa at the library (100 S Center Street). Crafts, games, face painters, and balloon artists are part of the indoor Reindeer Games this year.
The outdoor Reindeer Games begin at 2pm on the First Baptist Church of Arlington North Lawn (301 S. Center Street) with bounce houses and crafts coordinated by More Church and at 4pm with entertainment coordinated by Levitt Pavilion.
- Reindeer Games: 2–5pm
- Pictures with Santa: 2–5pm
- More live entertainment at Levitt Pavilion
- Holiday Lights Parade: 6pm
- Tree Lighting at the Founders Plaza (100 W Abram Street) following the parade (around 7:15pm)
- Pictures with Santa: following the tree lighting until 9pm
At the conclusion of the parade, Mayor Ross has flip-the-switch honors, along with Santa Claus, to the Christmas Tree, a spectacular 65-foot tree designed especially for Arlington.
Following the Tree Lighting, bring your camera and take a picture with Santa at Levitt. A special appearance will be made by Mrs. Claus. Santa will head back to the North Pole at 9pm.
