Join officials for the ribbon cutting on Thursday morning when Dallas Park and Recreation debuts new all-abilities playground equipment at Flag Pole Hill at White Rock Lake. The layout of the playground consists of all-inclusive elements that will allow for both individual and cooperative play for children and adults of all abilities. Additionally, parts of the playground will be shaded by the park’s longstanding live oaks to provide shade on hot summer days.

City of Dallas broke ground in June 2018 on playground supported by community groups, including For the Love of the Lake, and the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation.

Work was complete by La Terra Studios, the Dallas-based landscape architecture, urban design, and planning firm that created similar Casey’s Clubhouse Grapevine and the playground at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital.
