Mercado369 presents an historic event celebrating Afro-Mexican culture during Black History Month on Thursday, February 6 at the Meyerson Symphony Center. The performance will benefit After8toEducate and promote unity by honoring the art, history, and ancestry of the combined African and Mexican cultures.

Experience the performance of world-renowned singer, Alejandra Robles, spoken word poetry written by local youth and dances with Mexican and Afro-Mexican roots accompanied by live music directed by Dallas jazz and world music phenom S-Ankh Rasa. The event is a collaboration between The Black Academy of Arts and Letters, Big Thought and Cara Mía.
