Additional Information

EarthX Film and Dickies Skateboarding are partnering with the South Dallas nonprofit 4DWN Project (pronounced "four down") for this outdoor festival for all ages to promote healthy living. This event celebrates the power of sport, art, and mindful community collaboration to drive progress towards a healthy, sustainable future for the planet.

The event features pro-skaters, music, skate contests, film screenings, workshops, farming, food, drinks and community, and builds on The 4DWN Project’s unique mission of melding a skatepark with a mission to fight for food security in Dallas and surrounding areas.

Doors open at 11am on Saturday, November 5, at 4DWN’s South Dallas location. Funds raised by this event will support the further construction of 4DWN's zero waste skateboard park in South Dallas. Register for your admission on

There will also be opportunities for Dallas skaters to show off their skills on 4DWN’s pro vert ramp, concrete bowl, street skate course, mini-ramp, and 5000-sq-foot indoor skate park. Local kids are welcome to bring their own skateboards and use the skate park when the pro skaters aren't performing.

Pro-skaters Rob Cahill and Mike Crum will host professional skaters from around the world as they show off their skills in a Pro Vert Ramp Best Trick Contest. Cahill, Crum and 4DWN Board Member and Skate Hall Of Fame inductee Kareem Campbell will co-host a "Saved By Skateboarding" clinic by DGK alongside their famed skaters Stevie Williams and Don "Coach" Cooley.

Pro-skaters Kareem Campbell and Mike Crum will host professional skaters from around the world where they will show off their skills in a Pro Vert Ramp Best Trick Contest. They will also mentor young and aspiring skaters from community groups, local shelters, and the greater Dallas area.

Twenty deserving local kids will receive brand new skateboards by DGK, helmets by ProTec, and an invitation to roll around with legends like Guy Mariano on 4DWN's street course, mini ramp and 6,000 square foot indoor skate park.

Film screenings
During lunch, screenings will include REI’s hit film Camp Yoshi, with the founders of Camp Yoshi, Rashad and Shequeita Frazier in attendance.

“Brooklyn Farmer” will be screened, with Ben Flanner, head farmer of Brooklyn Grange, a successful sustainable food movement in Brooklyn, N.Y., speaking after the film. The day will be capped off by the evening debut of three new skateboarding short films, “You and That Thing that You Love,” “Janwaar” and “Stoke Chasers” on the big screen under the stars with a special musical guest to be announced.
