Picking out my Easter outfit has always been a big deal. What pastel, floral or combination of both will I go with this year? I wonder. And now that everything has opened up considerably compared to last Easter, some of you might be ready to venture out for an Easter service or brunch with the family in all your pastel, floral glory.
And if you need some ideas for yourself or anyone in the fam, look no further.
Some say you shouldn’t wear white until Memorial Day, but I think Easter is the perfect time to break out your whites. This tiered, white midi dress from Banana Republic would be a simple and chic option.
Prefer something more colorful? This white maxi dress with large yellow flowers from Anthropologie is a solid choice.
Maybe you have a baby bump you’re working with this Easter—this short sleeve knit wrap dress from Target is so cute and very bump-friendly. Big bonus: It comes in four colors. (Take a peek at the aqua blue.)
And we can’t forget the accessories. If your outfit leans more neutral, add a pop of color with some jewelry. This pink, Venice Stack of bracelets from Allie + Bess would definitely do the trick. Or maybe this resin link necklace from Anthropologie would go well. It comes in two colors too.
If you’re aiming for your jewelry to be more subtle, layered necklaces are very on trend right now. I love this one from Kendra Scott (it comes in gold, silver and rose gold) and this one from Gorjana.
Not a big jewelry fan? Add some color or print with a headband. Throw on this bright A few accessories always take things up a notch.
If your guy needs a new dress shirt for Easter, may I suggest Charles Tyrwhitt? My husband loves these shirts. There are a ton of colors and options, they’re breathable and—best of all—there are non-iron options. (Perfect for business travel and your family’s laundry load.) Consider getting him this solid green button-down or maybe this royal blue and white puppytooth shirt.
If he’s going for something more casual, but still wants a button-down collared shirt, J. Crew has some great options. I love this slim, broken-in oxford in faded sunset. The shirt comes in a ton of colors, and a major perk of these shirts is that they can go untucked.
J. Crew is also the place to go if he’s looking for some pants other than his usual khakis or jeans. These slim-fit stretch chino pants, for example, come in 11 colors. I’m a big fan of the catskill green and coal grey.
If it’s still a little chilly at Easter, grab him one of these half-zip sweaters from Banana Republic. It comes in five colors, but I’m all about the Antarctic blue and the vintage tan. And while you’re shopping around Banana Republic, make sure to check out these white Nicklas leather sneakers. The white sneaker is still very on trend, and these would look great with almost everything.
FOR THE KIDDOS
If you have a toddler girl on your hands, you should definitely take a look at this adorable light pink dress covered in lemons at Target. It’s simple—but add a little bow and some white shoes, and she’ll be ready to go.
Have two daughters of different ages? Want them to match? Check out this floral, button-front tank dress also from Target. It’s available in toddler sizes as well as big-girl sizes. Easter is definitely a good time to match and coordinate the whole family.
Have a toddler boy? How can you ignore these insanely cute chino pants that come with suspenders? Add a simple, white oxford button-down shirt or go for a print. As a final touch, grab these brown casual sneakers. He’ll get compliments on how dapper he looks all day.
If you have a young man in the household, keep it simple. This checkered button-down purple shirt from Target would look great for Easter with some khaki pants or navy shorts. Maybe he wants to be a little more dressed up? Add a jacket or blazer to the outfit. He and Dad can match with some jeans, a button-down shirt and this gray blazer or black jacket. Pair that with these brown slip-on sneakers and he’ll be one of the most handsome in the room.
Is it baby’s first Easter? Go with something memorable. You know you’ll save those pictures forever. (I can most definitely picture my outfit from my first Easter….it was very memorable. Bless the ’90s.)
For baby girl, check out this sweet straw boater hat with pink ribbon that would go very nicely with this pink bow dress. Pop on some ruffle socks and white shoes and she’ll be a proper lady with her Easter hat.
Is baby still too little for a boater hat? Check out this jumper, hat and bloomer set. Little girl will be ready for all her photo ops in this outfit.
And if you want to keep things simple, this baby bunny one piece from Hanna Anderson is outrageously cute. So is this sweaterknit top and pant set that has an amazing scene depicted on the sweater, complete with the Easter bunny and everything.
No matter what you end up going with, enjoy this holiday as a family! Happy Easter!
