Imagine an educational experience that includes daily enthusiasm from children, and results in a lifelong passion for building knowledge. This is the Montessori method, where children are excited to learn because they are choosing to learn things that interest them. This learning occurs from the outset in a cooperative atmosphere, preparing them for “real life,” and sharing with them what it means to truly be a member of the world. As Dr. Maria Montessori believed, “this is our mission: to cast a ray of light and pass on.”
Established in 1971, Waypoint Montessori is a collaborative learning environment that provides integrated, whole-child education through the proven, authentic Montessori method, as defined by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). A robust community of parents, students, staff, local supporters, and alumni works together to nurture the full potential of every child. Waypoint currently serves children between the ages of 14 months and 6th grade, and is accredited through AMI and TAAPS.
