I met Dr. Gladney when I was 26 weeks pregnant with my first and only child. I was a late transfer and already a difficult patient because I had a partial placenta previa. I was admitted several times and would end up staying for the remainder of my pregnancy in the hospital. I had no other prior patient history with him and would end up going through this very rough time in my life, with my first child, hospital covid protocols, and the holidays with so much trust and guidance in what he said to us. It was the best decision my husband and I made was getting Dr. Gladney as my doctor. He was constantly checking in on us, would sit down in my room (which I’m sure he was very tired after a long day) and would talk to us almost daily. Answering questions, reassuring me, making sure we were as comfortable as possible, and sharing a lot of laughs just over random things. When the day came for me to finally have my son Dr. Gladney of course performed the caesarean and I had my husband go with our son to the NICU, which was fairly immediately. Since my husband was with our son throughout his care, Dr. Gladney came to my recovery area and checked on me. He would later go to the NICU to check on our son while he stayed there. That has meant so much to me. Dr. Gladney possess every characteristic you would want your OB to have, he cares, he’s kind, he listens, he’s honest, he’s trustworthy, and he’s dedicated. I can not thank him enough and he will always have a special place in our hearts. He absolutely deserves this award. – Katie, Red Oak
