Our Redeemer Lutheran School: A Journey of Growth from Age 1 through 8th Grade
Our Redeemer Lutheran School (ORLS) in North Dallas provides an education that helps children grow academically, socially, and spiritually. From toddlers through middle school, students learn in an environment where curiosity, faith, and joy thrive together.
Learning Pathway
The Early Childhood Center (Age 1–KinderBridge) offers nurturing, play-based learning that builds language, motor skills, and early literacy. Flexible schedules and small ratios ensure individual attention. Families of Pre-K 4 students may choose KinderBridge, a transitional year that strengthens readiness for elementary school.
Elementary grades (K–5th) emphasize mastery in core subjects with weekly art, music, Spanish, technology, library, and PE. Middle school (6th–8th) adds departmentalized instruction, expanded enrichment, and competitive athletics, preparing students for high school and beyond.
Faith at the Center
As a ministry of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, the school integrates faith into daily life. Students pray, study Scripture, and attend weekly chapel. From age 1 forward, each child experiences age-appropriate Bible lessons or religion classes, shaping both knowledge and character.
Hands-On Discovery
Academics are enriched by two signature spaces:
- SmartLab® (STEM Lab): Coding, robotics, 3D printing, and circuitry spark problem-solving.
- Outdoor Learning Center: Students tend gardens, explore ecosystems, and learn stewardship on a 10-acre campus.
Athletics & Enrichment
Daily recess and PE are complemented by Metro Athletic League competition in volleyball, basketball, soccer, and flag football. Students also explore choir, band, theater, robotics, chess, handbells, cheer, and more.
Character & Leadership
The Wildcat Wills program fosters responsibility, perseverance, empathy, and respect. Leadership opportunities include mentoring, chapel roles, and team projects.
A Community That Feels Like Family
Parents and teachers partner closely to nurture each child. Families describe ORLS as a place where students are truly known and loved, with bright classrooms, welcoming gyms, playgrounds, and gardens supporting joyful growth.
