I’m not sure where I would be in life if not for Armando Martinez. To be honest, it’s a dark thought that even writing this makes me shudder. I can count on one hand the people outside my family who have made a life changing impact in my life. Armando is one of them.
Two years ago I found myself slipping into depression. I was terrified and felt hopeless. The day my wife started crying at our family dinner table out of concern and worry was the last straw. I needed help. I couldn’t be the father and person I needed to be if this continued. A family member intervened and scheduled me an appointment with Armando. I can’t put into words how my life changed after just one visit. In a period of darkness I saw a light out for the first time in months. After a few more sessions I had not only climbed out of the hole of depression but started sending others who needed help his way…including my own son who has never felt better. Since that first visit people started noticing a difference. I was continuously asked “what is it about you that’s different?”
The counseling/coaching services Armando provided inspired multiple positive changes in my life:
1) I quit my high paying job I hated and started my dream company (which is thriving)
2) I smile more.
3) My wife and kids are feeding off my new outlook in life and are taking chances and believing in themselves.
All that said, by Armando helping me, the course of the three others lives were drastically altered. Makes me wonder how many thousands of lives have changed for the better because…simply by him?
I understand your team will have a number of outstanding counselors to consider for this award. I don’t envy your task! However, you can rest easy knowing that by selecting Armando Martinez you are awarding an individual who literally saves lives and makes a direct impact on our community. —John, Weatherford
