Dr. Harrier has many social skills activities offered for most all levels of disabilities. She cares and has a good staff that is learning as well. Her prices are better than any place around. My child has done well with United Through Hope. —Nicole, Coppell
Dr. Harrier provides a variety of social skills and self advocacy programs for children and young adults with special needs. These programs are goal oriented and hold the attendees to high standards. Dr. Harrier offers her services pro bono and the extremely affordable prices of her programs help pay for staff transportation and facility. There is really no one else in DFW that offers social skills social outings and conversational skills for this in real world situations. Recently she has started to offer transitional housing and a pre-transitional program to encourage young adults to gain the skills and confidence necessary to live and work independently. —Rekha, Plano
The programs offered by UTH and run by Dr. Harrier provide an amazing resource that bridges private therapy/counseling and public social expectations. There is a gap between working with a child and that child applying those lessons to real-life situations with peers and the public; UTH programs connect the two by allowing kids to interact naturally and intervening only when/where the kids need assistance and reminders on how to apply learned coping mechanisms social rules or other behavior modification tools. Dr. Harrier and her staff let kids be kids and learn from their environment in a natural supportive manner. The team understands what kids like and need to become healthy independent socially functional humans. Even outside of scheduled meetings or activities Dr. Harrier is willing to help with meltdowns or outbursts at home. This helps parents match their at-home techniques to the program for consistency that works in the child’s favor. —Arroxane, Flower Mound
Dr Harrier is always available to both our children and to us. She is a very creative counselor and has come up with brilliant activities that she rolls out in a group but it’s not like any other “group therapy” I’ve ever seen. My son looks forward to Saturday social nights with Dr Harrier all week long. She also provides transportation if needed and her rates are lower than any other therapist I’ve used. She’s an amazing woman! —Emily, Plano
