My then-3 year old, now 4½ year old, son was having trouble with his overall behavior at daycare to the point that he was essentially kicked out of his first “school” that he’d been going to since about 4 months old. The next place we found seemed to me a much more legitimate school with actual curriculum and more qualified (and patient teachers). They were much more involved in helping to curb some of his behavior to a controllable level and he was actually learning. As they grew, so did the class sizes and we started to see some of the old behavior resurface. We decided to look into play therapy. That’s when we found Kitzia Lopez. Despite the pandemic, she was as accommodating as possible. Over the past year or more, my son loves to go see her even at just once a week. My son is probably smarter than his own good and literally has an endless imagination and source of energy. As she’s discussed with us, his behavior isn’t anything malicious or purposely destructive, it’s just been harder for him to fit into larger group settings. We’ve seen a vast improvement in him. She also spends a lot of time talking to us outside of his sessions about him – Dylan, Boyd
