Don’t let the summer fly by without a Dallas Zoo camp experience! Campers will enjoy animal encounters, games, activities, crafts, tours and more during a variety of week-long and single-day camps from June 10-Aug. 9 for ages PreK through Grade 12.

All summer camps run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and feature: education tours, games, arts and crafts, up-close animal encounters, and more. Please register your summer camper in their upcoming (2019-20 school year) grade level. BeforeCamp (8-9 a.m.) and AfterCamp (3-6 p.m.) are available at both the Dallas Zoo and Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park for most weeklong ($25/BeforeCamp, $50/AfterCamp) and single-day camps ($5/BeforeCamp, $10/AfterCamp).

Grade Levels: PreK, K-1st, and 2nd-3rd

Junior Zoologist

Learn what it takes to care for our 2,000+ animals every day. From nutrition and veterinary care to enrichment and training, you’ll leave this camp a true Junior Zoologist! Cost: $200/member, $220 non-member. (PreK also available as half-day for $135/member, $150/non-member.)

Prehistoric Palooza

Go back in time and discover how prehistoric animals are connected to our Zoo animals. Cost: $200/member, $220 non-member. (PreK also available as half-day for $135/member, $150/non-member.)

Camp H2O

Can a shark smell? What does a stingray eat? What is it like to touch a horseshoe crab? Campers will spend a week exploring the underwater worlds of the Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park. They also will spend time vising the Texas Discovery Gardens for a special experience in these weeklong camps. Cost: $200/member, $220 non-member. (PreK also available as half-day for $135/member, $150/non-member.)

Starry Safari Single-Day Camps

Look to the stars and discover the connection between Zoo animals and constellations. Each day will focus on an animal that inspired a constellation. Cost: $40/members, $45/non-members.

Grade Levels: 4th-5th

Keeper Camp

What’s it like to be an animal keeper at the Dallas Zoo? Go behind the scenes and meet zookeepers as they teach the dynamics of animal husbandry and training. This weeklong camp includes a staff-supervised sleepover on Thursday night. Cost: $240/members, $265/non-members.

Land to Sea

Partner Camp between Children’s Aquarium at Fair Park and Texas Discover Gardens

Take a journey from land to sea without leaving Dallas! Spend three days at the Texas Discovery Gardens exploring the exciting things that live above, in, and underneath gardens. Then spend two days at the Children’s Aquarium learning about the underwater world. This weeklong camp includes a staff-supervised sleepover on Thursday night at the Children’s Aquarium. No AfterCamp is available the Friday after the overnight. Cost: $240/members, $265/non-members.

Texas Born and Bred

Partner Camp with John Bunker Sands Wetland Center

Get your muck boots on and head to the wetlands! Spend three days at the Dallas Zoo exploring the Texas native animals all around us, then spend two days at the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center experiencing the science of wetlands and getting up close to Texas wildlife. This weeklong camp includes a staff-supervised sleepover Thursday night at the Wetland Center, where campers will discover just what comes out in the wetlands at night. Camp concludes after lunch on Friday with a Family Showcase. No AfterCamp care is available the Friday after the overnight. Cost: $240/members, $265/non-members.

Zoo by Design

This is your chance to help us design a real Zoo exhibit! You and your Project Design Team will work with zookeepers, Zoo educations, facility operations, and others to develop ideas for a Zoo exhibit. This weeklong camp includes a staff-supervised sleepover on Thursday night. Cost: $240/members, $265/non-members.

Coding Camp

Is your child a coding pro, or just interested in learning the basics? Thanks to our expert partners at CodeStream Studios, LLC, campers will gain hands-on experience in coding. This camp will combine Zoo exploration and computer lab time to give campers the opportunity to learn and create a coding project centered around Dallas Zoo animals and wildlife conservation.

Top Photographer

Seeking all aspiring photographers and nature lovers! Using digital cameras, campers will be introduced to the basics of wildlife photography. Select photos will be featured on the Dallas Zoo website and social media! Campers will spend time exploring the Zoo. This weeklong camp includes a staff-supervised sleepover on Thursday night. Campers are required to bring their own digital cameras and USB cables. Cost: $240/members, $265/non-members.

Career Camp

Find out what it takes to be an animal keeper, veterinarian, trainer, and the many other positions at the Dallas Zoo. Go behind the scenes and meet Zoo professionals, who will teach campers the dynamics of their careers. This unique weeklong camp gives animal enthusiasts valuable hands-on knowledge.
