Give your child the opportunity to connect with nature in a way they’ll never forget!
At River Legacy Nature Center, our Summer Camps spark curiosity, foster creativity, and ignite a love for the natural world through engaging exploration and hands-on science learning.
Open to children ages 3 through 8th grade, our camps are designed to support developmental milestones and deepen understanding of local ecosystems. Each session is led by experienced educators and kept intentionally small—ranging from 9 to 16 students—to allow for meaningful interaction, discovery, and personalized attention.
Campers enjoy a dynamic mix of indoor discovery and outdoor adventure. Each session includes time on the trails as campers investigate the woods, observe wildlife, and apply what they’ve learned in the classroom to the world around them. Whether it’s examining animal tracks, discovering the life inside a log, crafting with items found in nature, or learning the rhythm of the forest, every camp session is built to inspire.
Each age group follows a specially crafted curriculum:
- Ages 3–5 enjoy a half-day morning schedule, from 9am to 12pm, filled with nature-themed activities that promote early learning and wonder.
- 1st–8th graders attend full-day camps, from 9am to 3pm, with rich science content, group collaboration, and exploration of environmental topics that build critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Camps run Monday through Thursday, offering flexibility for families and time for our Naturalists to reset and prepare for the next week’s adventure.
With unique themes each week, there’s always something new to discover. Come grow, explore, and connect with nature this summer at River Legacy!
