Camp El Tesoro is situated on 223 acres where the Brazos River and Fall Creek meet in Granbury. The camp has welcomed four generations of campers for more than 80 years.

We know kids. More importantly – we know safety! More than 200 safety guidelines must be met to be accredited by the American Camp Association. (We are!) We’re taking these standards even higher. Our staff are implementing additional health practices, so campers can be fully immersed in a summer experience they deserve while minimizing their possible exposure. Each session, we welcome campers with mild intellectual or developmental disabilities. Our Inclusion Program enriches the camp experience for all campers.

Awakening Growth Mindsets

El Tesoro’s overnight camp has inspired boys & girls age 6 – 16 to let their curiosity be their guide – to nature, their world and what they can accomplish!
Age-appropriate activities develop confidence in our campers while they build new skills and make new friends in the outdoors. The wide range of activities from horseback riding and archery to crafts, swimming and drama create opportunities that show each camper they can achieve whatever they set their minds to.
