If your little one loves trains or dreams of being a conductor, then Dick Faram Park in North Richland Hills is the place for you. Next to the playground is a large train engine that kids can climb inside of and play on. The park also contains two bright red play structures for older and younger children. You won’t have to worry about getting too much Texas sun, because both structures are completely shaded. A large open field with a backstop and soccer goal surrounds the playground and is the perfect place for kids to run off some extra energy. Art lovers will especially appreciate a large piece by local artist Seppo Aarnos, “People Train,” that’s displayed at the front of the park. The playground equipment does show some rust, and the train engine is partly made of wood that has aged and splintered. There’s also a loose handrail on the larger play structure, but it’s secure enough to be used. 8344 Amundson Drive
