Families travel long distances for basic care, kids wait too long for appointments, and parents worry about cost or the possibility of being turned away.
A Clinic Close to Home
At Prism Health North Texas (PHNTX), we believe families deserve better. Our South Dallas Health Center brings pediatric care, women’s health, and family medicine under one roof, right in a neighborhood where access has been limited for far too long. For many families, it’s the first time they’ve had a trusted place to go for consistent, high-quality care.
Why Access Matters
The need for clinics like ours is unmistakable:
• 1 in 5 kids in Texas has no health insurance.
• Some South Dallas families travel 30 minutes or more for basic care.
• Kids in underserved areas use the ER 2–3x more for things a clinic could treat.
These numbers aren’t abstract; they’re real children and real parents doing their best with what they have.
One recent visit reminded us why this work matters so much:
A mom brought in her young son for an asthma appointment. Near the end of the visit, she quietly shared that she’d found a lump in her breast. You could hear the fear under her words. She expected paperwork and a delayed appointment somewhere else. Instead, our provider walked down the hall, found an opening, and got her seen right then. Before she left, her imaging referrals were handled, too.

Prism Health North Texas was established in 1986 and now operates four health centers with on-site labs, three community pharmacies, and two dental practices across Dallas.
