DFWChild Honored with 14 National Awards

Magazine recognized for outstanding content and creative design that informs and inspires parents

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

DALLAS, Texas DFWChild magazine has once again been recognized among the nation’s best in parenting journalism, earning 14 honors at the 2025 Parenting Media Association Editorial and Design Awards, including the top honor, General Excellence Gold, for the second year in a row.

The awards celebrate the highest achievements in editorial and design across parenting media nationwide. DFWChild received ten Gold, three Silver, and one Bronze in categories spanning storytelling, photography, visual presentation and service journalism. Its ancillary publication, DFWBaby, and weekly e-newsletter, The Weekend, were also recognized for excellence.

“These awards reflect our team’s passion for producing content that meets parents where they are—whether that’s a thoughtful feature in print, a helpful tip in DFWBaby, or an inspiring weekend idea in our newsletter,” said publisher Joy Niebes Wommack. “We’re honored to have our work recognized on the national stage.”

We are grateful to the DFW-area families who have so generously shared their stories, to the local experts who have offered thoughtful insight on complex topics, and to our readers for your constant support and inspiration.
