Creekside Park in Fairview

Location: 1040 Parkdale Dr., tucked away in the middle of the Oakwood subdivision in Fairview.

What makes it noteworthy: Although only a small neighborhood park, kids love playing at Creekside Park. There are four slides, including a double racing slide and a twisty slide, a built-in pirate toy and an animal toy, a crawl-through tunnel, climbing bars, four swings and a telescope to survey the park.

Extras: Creekside Park features a covered gazebo, a small trail that circles the park and two bouncy toys. The downsides: There are no bathrooms, no swings for babies and only one playset with no signed indications of the intended age group.

Safety: This playground received an A* on the Playground Safety Report Card. Minor graffiti and minimal damage to a brick wall on the edge of the playground, which could pose a safety hazard, were the only points of concern.
