Credit Where Credit Is Due

We all know the importance of school voucher and scholarship tax credit programs for children with special needs. Now, in state capitols across America, elected officials are standing by families in support of legislation that would provide increased educational options for kids with special needs. Texas is one of 13 states proposing legislation to create new school voucher, opportunity scholarship or scholarship tax credit programs for children with special needs. The American Federation for Children praised the growing trend as a vital step toward providing educational options to all children with special needs. Betty DeVos, chairman of the American Federation for Children, has said that all children with disabilities must receive an education that meets their individual needs and be given the chance to thrive in the schools of their parents’ choice.
