Situated just steps away from the Christopher A. Parr Library in Plano, the Coyote Creek Park has undergone a recent transformation. Plano replaced the old, worn-out structures with brand-new playground equipment. A quaint bridge overlooking a small creek leads to a smaller playground, which is designed for children under 5. The big-kids play structure boasts several new additions, including a plastic merry-go-round and a separate climbing structure off to the side. The park encourages old-fashioned fun with standbys such as monkey bars, a swing set and a covered jungle gym and slide section for children of all ages. Several benches accompany a large shaded picnic area complete with grills. The park is also equipped with a drinking fountain – including a separate facility for dogs. 5801 Communications Pkwy., Plano.
