Autism diagnoses are more common than ever, but actually receiving the diagnosis for your child can be a long and difficult process. We got some insight from Monica Piper, a Collin County mom whose son was diagnosed at age 2. Monica is also a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) and the founder of Stepping Stones, a service that provides in-home therapy to individuals with special needs. She spoke to us about the first signs she observed in her son, the road to his diagnosis and early therapies. This podcast episode is a supplement to our September DFWChild issue.
