City Park in Lake Dallas

Our Grade: 3.5/5

Where is it? Located at West Hundley Drive and South Shady Shores Drive in Lake Dallas, next to the middle school and the school district offices.

What makes it special? Kids can zoom down the tall slide and try their hand at the climbing bars under the shade – a big canopy.

What else? Bring your soccer ball. The City Park playground adjoins a large field where the Lake Cities Soccer Association has created six soccer fields. Parking is plentiful, and there are benches for Mom and Dad.

Is it safe? This playground scored an A* on the Safety Report Card. There’s no separate play area for kids 5 and under, so you’ll want to keep a close watch on little ones.

Don’t miss: Stop by on Tuesday, March 4. It’s “Fat Tuesday,” and Lake Dallas is doing it up big. The family-friendly event kicks off at 5pm, with the parade starting at 5:30pm.
