C.P. Waggoner Park in Grand Prairie is a good option for families looking to expend some energy outdoors. Playgrounds for kids big and small are tucked away behind a large baseball complex off Carrier Parkway. Parents may have difficulty viewing kids on the large covered slide, but the playground scored an A on the safety report card for an overall safe design. C.P. Waggoner provides restrooms and a trail for biking or walking. There are also numerous picnic tables and barbecue grills in the shade. This large family park is a good selection for kids of all ages. Bring your ball, your bike and a picnic for a fun day outdoors.
