Bottled Bliss

Evian Natural Spring Water has partnered with French designer Jean Paul Gaultier to produce five exclusive haute couture bottles. Crafted at the House of Baccarat, only five of the couture bottles will be released worldwide. To this end, the collection will be auctioned off to raise money for the RAMSAR convention, which works to preserve wetlands around the world.

The designer also created an Evian Prêt-à-Porter Bottle, which is available to consumers for $13.99 at www.shopevian.com. The company says these “ready-to-wear” bottles have been a hit for home display and especially at weddings as table gifts.

In late 2007, Evian similarly launched a limited-edition bottle by Christian LaCroix, that was auctioned for charity, with the highest bidder going down in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most expensive bottle of water ever sold, carrying a price tag of $23,000. The LaCroix ready-to-wear bottles are sold at participating Target stores locally.
