Overall Grade: A* (21 points/24 points)
+ Frisbee golf course
+ Numerous trees
– No swings
– No restrooms
Bill Allen Memorial Park sprawls over nearly 50 acres with two playground areas, a popular Frisbee golf course, an amphitheater, basketball courts and a pond. The park has plenty of parking and a trail that is shaded by numerous trees. The play area off of Carroll Road has simple plastic playground equipment, which scored an A* on the Safety Report Card. Kids can scale a small climbing wall and zoom down a twisty slide while parents watch from the nearby bench or covered pavilion. Kids might complain about the absence of swings and parents might miss restrooms, but Bill Allen Memorial Park isn’t a bad option for an afternoon outside.
