Bachman Lake near Love Field Airport is a popular destination for Dallas families and joggers. Families can enjoy picnicking in the numerous shady areas while enjoying a clear view of their children playing. The playground scenery, however, is lacking. An aesthetically displeasing array of trash litters the play area. Because of the littered playground and poorly maintained equipment, the Bachman Lake Park scored a B. Aged equipment with spots of rust may be a cause of concern for the safety-minded parent. Younger children are limited as the park contains only one playground area that is designed for children between 5 and 12 years of age. The park provides appropriate guardrails and suitable surface materials, which will help cushion any spills. Bachman Lake offers nice running trails and some suitable picnic areas, but if the playground is top priority you might want to consider other local options.
