Location: 2021 Devonshire Drive, Denton, at the intersection of Devonshire and Nottingham drives.
What makes it noteworthy: Kids will feel like kings and queens when they’re playing at Avondale Park, since the entire playground is designed to look like a castle. There are five slides, monkey bars, two baby swings and two regular swings.
Extras: Two tennis courts, a basketball court and a shaded walking trail and field will keep everyone in the family entertained. There are park benches and water fountains available for use and an interactive music section, a rope climbing wall and a sign language, letter-teaching wall.
Safety: Avondale Park received an A* on the Playground Safety Report Card, however, there are a few things to watch out for. There weren’t separate playgrounds for different age groups, there are no restrooms, and it may be hard to see children when they’re climbing inside the castle play area.
