Arizola's Mexican Restaurant

Vibe: This is a casual, friendly Mexican restaurant. Authentic decorations, spacious dining areas and extremely friendly staff welcome families from all over Tarrant County for a laid-back dining experience.

Why it's tot-friendly: The staff is very friendly (even going so far as to ask how my son was handling having a new baby in the house) and the music is just loud enough to drown out a game of “but why?” with a 2-and-a-half-year old. Plus an ample supply of chips and salsa will keep little hands busy until dinner arrives.

Be sure to try: The Fajitas. But be advised that at Arizolas (as with many Mexican restaurants) the portion is easily enough to feed two, so order with caution if you plan on going it alone. Oh yeah, Moms: If it’s been a long week, the margaritas are top notch, also.

Good to know: Portions are very large and most entrees can probably feed two people. The smokers and non-smokers are so well-separated, it’s actually impressive.

Best times to go with kids: When you’re afraid a tiny talker will interrupt the meals of those around you at a quiet, more formal restaurant. This is a great place for large groups too, so if you are going out with friends or extended family, there is always room for your party here!
