Addison Town Park in Addison

The next time you’re driving through Addison and the kids need a quick pick-me-up, consider stopping by Addison Town Park, which earned an A on DallasChild’s Safety Report Card.* The playground, just off Spring Valley and Marsh, is perfect for letting off a little steam.

The play area may be small, but it packs a lot of charm. Old-fashioned springy ride-ons and a big tire swing offer up fun for little and big kids alike. Four slides, including one tall and twisty and one small and twisty, make for an exciting rush; side-by-side slides let little ones race each other to the bottom. A layer of soft mulch keeps kids safe, and Addison takes its safety measures one step further with a foam rubber carpet in front of the playscape stairs.

The park has only one playscape, so be warned that older children might get bored quickly. But this park is perfect for a quick break.

This review was distributed to Addison Parks and Recreation for further review and/or action.
