A Winnie the Pooh Picnic Party

Pack your bags for a trip to the Hundred Acre Wood

With a timeless storybook quote in mind and a shared love with her husband for all things Winnie the Pooh, Andrea Crosswhite converted her parents’ Allen backyard into a sweet honey-themed bash for her son Grayson’s first birthday.

To make the Disney magic come alive, Andrea decorated blackboards with quotes and illustrations from the book and stained, cut and painted a Hundred Acre Wood sign for the driveway. A classic Pooh stuffed animal and book as well as a variety of yellow flowers were used as table centerpieces. Yellow and white lanterns hung high in trees while checkered table clothes tied the theme together.

Famous Kirby’s Barbeque from Mexia was on the menu as well as cake balls, brownies, cupcakes and a lemon-flavored beehive cake made by Andrea herself. Once partygoers had slurped all the lemonade from their plastic mason jars, they took home a bear-shaped honey bottle filled with M&Ms as a parting gift.
