Eden Bullock’s Keller Favorites

see what this North Fort Worth neighborhood has to offer

Keller offers the sweet life for Eden Bullock, a chef and entrepreneur, and her family. Bullock and husband Theryn (an autobody technician who also does athletic field pad and netting installations) have four children: Emma, 18, Bert, 16, Bea, 11, and Annie, 9. They love the local schools, and their neighborhood also gives Bullock a short commute to her job as owner of Southlake’s Taste Buds Kitchen, a family-friendly culinary studio.

Favorite family restaurant Taco Casa. Our family has so many great memories there. From after-church lunches with the sweetest friends to celebrating an accomplishment, we find ourselves there consistently for the best of times. And the hot sauce packets—we buy them by the case.

Best park Johnson Road Park has been a favorite of all our kids growing up. It’s known by our family as the “tire swing park” because we all love to spin each other on the tire swing until we simply can’t spin anymore. Such a good time!

Favorite family outing Our family loves to garage sale and find the best treasures. One of our youngest’s latest finds was an old typewriter that she uses to compose cards and letters to teachers, friends and family. It’s so neat to watch her take the time to type such special messages.

For a night out  I’ve surrounded myself with super fun people in my life, and we love to laugh. So anything where we can laugh at each other is where we usually head for a date night: bowlingwe love to bowl at Bowleroice skating, eating contests … With friends, we’re always on board for a night of cooking and games.

Self-care spot  The kitchen. Cooking always fills my soul, and I could cook all day long every day … as long as I have someone to help me clean! I also love to complete home improvement projects, work with our pig and new dog on skills and tricks, and take a ballet class at North Central Ballet as often as possible.

Go-to for getting active Just Dance, an Xbox game. We get the entire family involved and willing friends. It’s especially fun when the “non-dancers” elect to participate. Lots of laughs every time!

For cooling off  We love ice cream. Every night is ice cream night for us. Braums, Wooleys and ice cream at home are our favorites.

How they give back We all have a passion for animals and enjoy donating time and resources to the local rescues, Humane Society of North Texas and Apollo Support & Rescue. And HopeKids is a wonderful local organization that we’re privileged to be a part of, helping local families with kids who have life-threatening medical conditions.

How she found her mom squad I’ve met some of the most wonderful women in so many different ways. Friends from church, school friends, professional connections, moms I’ve met at the grocery stores and garage sales—you name it. Great people are all over.

Why Keller is great for families Our city offers a little bit of everything for us as a family and individually. We live in a wonderfully supportive community and being a transplant, it’s been a blessing to have neighbors and friends who have become family.
