Families braved the stormy spring skies to attend Dallas-Fort Worth Baby’s 22nd Annual Baby Event + Casting Call at The Shops at Willow Bend. The free Baby Event welcomed new and expecting parents to explore top local resources for their growing family. Attendees were able to tackle their newborn to-do list by scheduling baby’s first swim lesson and dentist appointment, sign up for early childhood development classes, meet with sleep training experts, and mingle with other new parents.
Medical City Children’s Urgent Care kept the little ones smiling with an appearance by their very own Leo the Lion. Leo wasn’t the only photo opp that event-goers took advantage of. The Medical City Mark My Milestone photo booth offered parents the chance to capture the moment by marking their child’s age on an oversized chalkboard and snapping an adorable keepsake. 2019 Best for Families winner for Best Place to Have a Baby and Best Childbirth Classes in Collin County, Medical City Plano, featured their award-winning experts at the event. On-site infant CPR and safe sleep demonstrations took place throughout the day.
In conjunction with The Baby Event, representatives from Baby magazine and the Kim Dawson Agency scouted new talent for print and television at the Baby Casting Call. A team of skilled photographers captured baby’s first professional headshot as parents adoringly looked on. Attendees had the chance to register for one of many giveaway items that were featured including two OXO Tot strollers. There was also an opportunity to give back to the charity partner, Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County. The center hosted numerous stations collecting brand new baby clothes for their clients. Clothing was donated to the CACCC’s Rainbow Room which meets the emergency needs of children and families by providing immediate access to brand new clothing, shoes, hygiene products, and baby items completely free of charge.
