The holidays are right around the corner, so it’s time to make your shopping lists (and check them twice). While many North Texans are strategizing how to attack Black Friday sales and Cyber Monday savings (or planning ways to avoid the madness altogether), we’re gearing up for one of the most wonderful times of the year: Small Business Saturday. This Saturday celebrates the local storeowners who make our city so great. But don’t stop there! We’ve rounded up some of our favorite boutiques in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, all run by local moms, to support this holiday season and beyond. Read on for our guide to mom-owned shops, and get to know these inspiring female entrepreneurs in your neighborhood.

The Greenway Shop
This Bluffview boutique is one of the best in the clean beauty scene. Founded by our October 2018 Moms Next Door, Flauren Bender and Hallie Lamont, The Greenway Shop is our go-to for everything from natural cosmetics to kid-friendly chocolate probiotics. The shop is tucked inside of beloved children’s boutique, Madre, so swing by to pick up some presents for the kids … and maybe load up on a few stocking stuffers for yourself.
4715 West Lovers Lane, Dallas // 214/577-4077

Flea Style
We’re more than a little in love with Brittany Cobb. Our OG mompreneur is the founder of Flea Style, an online and brick-and-mortar destination for vintage lovers. Visit Flea Style’s new location in Deep Ellum to explore Cobb’s curated collection of vintage duds, plus geodes, printed pillows and organic (and new, duh) skincare products. Looking for a Christmas gift for someone crafty in your life? Inquire about upcoming in-store workshops, which range from candle making to lettering and more.

GAIA Empowered Women
Purchase with a purpose at GAIA Empowered Women. Founded by our April 2017 Mom Next Door, Paula Minnis, the uptown Dallas boutique partners with refugees in North Texas to provide livable wages in exchange for quality artisan products. We can’t get enough of GAIA’s assortment of printed pouches, embroidered earrings, chic scrunchies (yes, it’s a thing!) and more enviable accessories. Bonus: visit the store for an additional 25% off now through Monday, Nov. 26.

Tribe Alive
A visit to Tribe Alive is like a trip abroad (basically), thanks to founder Carly Burson’s thoughtful selection of ethically-made apparel, accessories and homewares. Our September 2018 Mom Next Door works with at-risk women both in Fort Worth and around the world to empower female entrepreneurship and artistry. Stop by Tribe Alive’s storefront along the trendy Magnolia Ave., and check out our recent Q&A with Burson for more about her investment in all things girl power.

The Tot
Our November 2017 Mom Next Door and (Vogue-approved) style star Nasiba Adilova channeled her love of fashion for the under-10 set with her Dallas-based boutique and editorial e-commerce site. Check out the mom of two’s list of must-haves, and then pick up holiday gifts for the trendy tykes in your life at the Lovers Lane Playhouse or the flagship boutique in Highland Park Village (conveniently located just across the parking lot from Goop’s gift shop).
