The clean beauty business is booming in North Texas, making it pretty easy for Mom to indulge in sustainable services at toxin-free nail salons and all-natural spas around town. But we believe that it’s never too early to join the clean scene. Looking to introduce your family to nontoxic, fair trade products that do as much good for your babes as they do for Mother Nature? Swing by The Greenway Shop, located in popular kids boutique, Madre. This month, the Bluffview clean beauty mecca debuts its newest offering, Gryph & IvyRose, a celeb-founded wellness brand tailored for the 12-and-under crowd.
Founded by supermodel Karolina Kurkova, Gryph & IvyRose is a pediatrician-approved line of bath products, herbal supplements and probiotics—all for under $30. Each product is made in the U.S. and exclusively features natural ingredients said to promote healthy living and immune support for growing kids.
Absent are the toxins, parabens, sulfates and other beauty baddies that you’ll find listed on the back of the average bottle of shampoo. (Dangerous chemicals are no strangers to your child’s everyday products. It was only four years ago that Johnson and Johnson reformulated their popular ‘No More Tears’ Shampoo to exclude formaldehyde.) Gryph & IvyRose makes use of ingredients more commonly found in your backyard than a science lab. Take the line’s penguin-decorated Poppin’ Bubbles bath product, which is made up of wild chrysanthemums, allergen-sensitive grains and Poria, a type of “subterranean” forest mushroom.
The Greenway Shop’s co-founders Flauren Bender and Hallie Lamont are excited to introduce the customers to the brand—which is already a big hit at home. (Both women are mamas of three, all under 10 years old.) “Our kids use it—they love it, we love it,” says Bender. “It’s a great product that is produced in a kid-friendly way that tastes good.”
Like the name suggests, Gryph & IvyRose packages its products in a way that appeals to both boys and girls. Products like the brand’s easy two-in-one shampoo & conditioner, Daily Embrace, features an illustration of a running lion and a subtle scent, is ideal for picky kids of all ages. “Some kids products are gendered, but this is accessible on all levels,” notes Lamont.
Bender and Lamont are excited to introduce families to kid-approved care products that go beyond the bathroom. While adaptogenic offerings from Moon Juice and The Beauty Chef are popular with the shop’s adult customer base, the launch of Gryph & IvyRose opens the conversation about the importance of gut health for all ages.
Sure, getting your kiddos to eat billions of bacteria might be a hard sell, but the brand’s tasty range of supplements might convince even the pickiest eaters. If your kids love their gummy vitamins, they’ll flip for the line’s delicious, heart-shaped chocolate probiotics. (We wouldn’t blame you if you bought some for yourself!)
Your little ones might even want to get on board with having their very own potions, in the form of the line’s standout assortment of certified Kosher, USDA Organic herbal elixirs that help to address bad colds, bad sleep and bad moods. “My boys are extremely picky, and I gave them some Call It A Night sleep tonic,” says Bender. “One, they did not complain about the taste. And two, it really worked!”
