Welcome to the Neighborhood
Hugging the shores of Grapevine Lake and Lake Lewisville, respectively, Flower Mound and Highland Village are the good life: excellent schools, safe neighborhoods, family-focused events and plenty of ways to stay active outdoors.

● FIT FAMILY
In addition to a range of adult yoga classes, the studio is home to Yogi Kids, with yoga and Zumba® classes for ages 4 and up. For 3- to 5-year-olds, there’s also thrice-weekly Preschool Play with yoga, games, crafts and free play.

Green Scene
● CANYON FALLS TRAIL SYSTEM
In March 2018 the community celebrated the opening of its 7-mile trail system that winds throughout the neighborhoods and around the dog park, playground and splash pad.

● COMMON GROUND COMMUNITY GARDEN
Plant and prepare food for people in need during educational workshops the first Saturday of every month. Check CGCG’s Facebook page for details.

● FOUR SEASONS MARKETS
European-style farmers markets that operate every weekend year-round (even through less-than-perfect weather). Saturday 9am–2pm in Flower Mound’s Parker Square; Sunday 10am–2pm at Highland Village Town Center.

● PILOT KNOLL PARK
The overnight campground and day use area (technically in Argyle but run by the city of Highland Village) offers direct access to Lewisville Lake, kayak and paddleboard rentals, and a playground.

● STONE CREEK PARK
The picturesque woodland creek that gives this park its name is one of FloMo’s top spots for an outdoor family photo sesh—access the creek via the multiuse nature trail. (There’s a playground and basketball court too.)

● UNITY PARK
A castle-like wooden playground, a dog park, trails, a tennis court and other amenities offer play options for the whole family. The park is also home to the annual Highland Village Balloon Festival in August, a can’t-miss spectacle benefiting the charities of the Highland Village Lions Club.

● CAC OUTDOOR WATER PARK & INDOOR POOL
Swim any time of year inside the Community Activity Center’s indoor pool with a splash pad, a slide and two AquaClimb climbing walls, and during the summer, check out the outdoor water park steps away with a lazy river, toddler slides and a host of other features.

● DOUBLETREE RANCH PARK SPLASH PAD
Designed with the look and flow of a natural creek, this splash pad at Highland Village’s newest park features three water zones for nonstop water play, including 66 spray features and a waterfall, plus large boulders for sitting and nearby restrooms and picnic tables.

● HERITAGE PARK SPLASH PAD
Mere yards away from Fort Wildflower community playground is Flower Mound’s first splash pad. Opened in April 2018, the new 2,000-square-foot shaded splash pad features 14 unique water features, a separate area for toddlers and restrooms.

● METROCREST PARENTS OF MULTIPLES (MPOM)
Meets at 7:30pm on the second Thursday of each month at Faith Lutheran Church and Day School. MPOM hosts at least one children’s social per month, plus moms’ night out and an annual overnight retreat. For more information, email info@mpom.net.
