Leave the kids with Dad and practice a hobby that will always come in handy. Fort Worth Camera and Dallas Center for Photography hold regular photography classes for all levels of expertise with themes from digital camera basics to nature photography and more. Sign up for FWC’s black and white photography lesson on July 12, during which you can even learn which phone apps to use for the best black-and-white shots. And registration is open for DCP’s halfday, travel photography class on Sept. 29 (just in time for fall festivities and holiday outings) and an allday dog photography workshop in October. Check both organizations’ websites for all upcoming classes.
