We already know it has been voted the best in Fort Worth, in Texas, even the entire US of A by some people (like all polls/votes – results are subject to those doing the voting) – and all of those are true. You cannot, and should not, leave out what is arguably the best burger when elevating the kid’s palates.

VIBE:
The Camp Bowie location (the original) reminds you of the old standard, with pictures of past friends and Somebodies on the wall. The long tables that encourage communal dining may remind others of the old European eateries where everyone just pulled up a chair (no pun intended for those in the know) and enjoyed their food with the company of strangers.

WHY IT’S TOT FRIENDLY:

Its burgers and fries. Kids love the atypical service,

BE SURE TO TRY:
I cannot tear myself away from the staple, ye olde burger and fries combo, root beer optional.

GOOD TO KNOW:
Buns are made fresh daily; meat is ground on the site – and it seems to make a difference. Lunches can get seriously crowded. Seriously.

BEST TIME TO GO WITH KIDS:
There is no bad time. Swing by anytime they want a burger and fries, and you simply cannot handle another fast-food photocopy of what a real burger looks like.
