Dads probably remember when Dire Straits sang, “I want my MTV” in their song, “Money for Nothing.”
Well, those music-loving guys have turned into dads, who are more likely to sing a different tune. MTV has been swapped for Apple TV, one of the latest Apple Inc. creations changing the face of digital recordings. It’s “like a DVD player for the 21st century,” according to Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO.
Any tech-crazed dad (is there any other kind?) will be in shock and awe of its cool features and easy-to-use interface. “Apple TV plays the same iTunes content that users enjoy on their computers and iPods, so now they can even watch part of a movie in their living room and watch the rest later on their iPods,” touts Jobs.
Available now at Apple stores and online at www.apple.com for $299, this is one Father’s Day present that won’t get returned. In fact, the whole family might get just as into it as dad.
